One week and several curries later, and we're still waiting. Went to the hospital this morning to get monitored, measured, prodded and poked, and everything appears absolutely fine and ready to go - it's just going rather slowly. I am 1cm dilated, for those interested in technical details. The midwives are very happy and not in any hurry to induce me, so we'll just sit it out. Or rather, go for plenty of brisk walks. Meanwhile my cousin, who was due one day after me, has beaten me to it with a beautiful baby girl. Now there's some inspiration.

4 days late, and what's a girl to do but sit around drinking coffee, and maybe see the new batman film in IMAX.

Finally finished work! And on my first 'day off' I didn't even get a lie-in 'cos I had to spend all day at an antenatal class. The NCT are wonderful, although it's all terribly educated white middle classes. So what do I do on my second day off? Go back to work and finish off all the bits I didn't manage.
