Weihnachtsmarkt 2012

Manchester's Christmas market has been declared "better than Bremen" by a recent visitor from Germany. I managed a quick visit after work, admiring the wooden toys and sparkly jewellery, savouring all the different smells of cheeses and salamis, and enjoying a mug of Gluehwein with a friend (at Zum lustigen Rudolph, see pic!). Leaped onto the tram home and race-walked back to the house just in time to see Katy before bed - at which point she excitedly jumped up and down and inadvertently gave me a thick lip. Now, where are some ice cubes ...

Close encounters of the furred kind

Pardon my post-natal brain, but it's only just occurred to me that I could post MOVING images of Katy here. This thought struck me only a month after it also occurred to me I could make little videos in the first place using my trusty phone. Sigh ... and I have to start work again in June, how ever will I persuade people I can still think straight? This mini-epic features Katy playing with what used to be a cat toy - formerly property of Tsi-Tsa - who doesn't seem to quite agree with this redistribution of wealth!

As if in answer to David's question (see comment on Brahms below) Kate is seen here enthusiastically performing her latest trick, rolling onto her right side with great energy and looking very pleased with herself. Tho good news for her development it means our lives just got a little more difficult! She's also managed to grab hold of the purple elephant hanging above her. With hand-eye co-ordination like that she'll be wanting an x-box before we know it.
